Trip to Jharoth (Gaon ki Sair)
A commendable interactive programme was conducted by Aadharshila Vidyapeeth, Pitampura. The School organized a trip to Jharoth, a village 55 km from Delhi for classes III to X on 6th, 10th and 13th July 2007.
The students enjoyed a tractor ride to the fields where they experienced the reaping of crops. Some tried their hands at pottery. Finally everyone enjoyed the villagers’ specialty i.e. the “Chulhey ki roti” and “chhaj”.
The highlighted feature of the trip was the ‘Adult Literacy Campaign’ where the students taught women folk to write their names. The need for ‘Each one teach one’ was put forth. The villagers were also educated about the necessity of Immunization among young children.
Students went to the village school. The students witnessed a cultural programme organized by the villagers. Later the students enjoyed the village life in its truest sense. This was nice experience for our students who had a first hand encounter with the ‘village life’.
Summer Trip to Shimla

A trip to Shimla and Kufri was organized for classes IV-X on May 28th, 2007- May 30th, 2007 and June 04th, 2007- June 06th, 2007.The beautiful hill station and the pleasant weather rejuvenated the spirit of the students.  The students loved the hustle and bustle at the Mall Road and shopped to their heart’s content at both the Mall Road and Wood Market.

The most memorable moments were the stay at Kufri and horse riding at Naldhera. Apart from being an enjoyable trip, it also enriched the knowledge of the students to be a large extent.
