Students of Aadharshila Vidyapeeth of Classes P.P-I I were taken for an excursion to �Aeroplanet� where students had an enthralling experience as they enjoyed a lot and got an opportunity to sit in the plane where they were acquainted with the safety measures to be observed while sitting in the plane. The students had a hand on experience in many exciting activities like Fire Mock Drill, Flying Fox, River Crossing, Dance floor, etc. Students also enjoyed the delicious breakfast and lunch provide at the aeroplanet.


A Fun n Learn experience was enjoyed by the students of Aadharshila Vidyapeeth as the school organized a visit to Azad Hind Gram on 17.02.14 & 18.02.14 for the students of classes III and IV-V respectively. The school makes earnest efforts to amalgamate fun with academics. Students were enthralled to be welcomed by Kacchi Ghori Dance and danced themselves to the dhol beats followed by a fresh and healthy breakfast. Children had great time in a series of intriguing activities like Puppet Show, Pottery Making and an amazing Magic Show. Their zest knew no bounds during Camel cart Riding. The visit was quite riveting for the students as they got a chance to be familiarized with the history of the foundation of Azad Hind Fauj and Azad Hind Gram. They were delighted to watch clippings related to the struggle for freedom. Students bought some beautiful handicraft items displayed there. Climbing Burma Bridge was quite adventurous for children, followed by a delicious lunch. The visit to Azad Hind Gram was really gratifying for children.


Aadharshila Vidyapeeth organized an exciting and fun filled visit to Eco Adventure Camp, Najafgarh on 15.02.14 for the students of classes VI-X. More than300 students participated in the excursion. The students had a great time trying their hands at many adventurous activities like Bungee Jumping, Rock Climbing, River Crossing, Fox Flying, Potters Wheel, DJ Party, Camel Cart, Tractors Wheel, Bull Cart Ride and many more activities followed by appetizing, mouth watering food served at the camp. The students enjoyed and danced to their hearts content and clicked photographs with their teachers and friends to retain the sweet memories. The warm weather and the soothing sunrays added to everybody�s comfort.


The motivated hardwork put in by the students and staff in different spheres in session(2013-14) was finally acknowledged at the Award Felicitation Ceremony conducted by Aadharshila Vidyapeeth in its school premises on 14.02 14. Many coveted awards were bestowed upon the well deserving and meritorious Aadharshilians. Inter-House Competitions conducted throughout the session are a part and parcel of school curriculum. The six houses (value bearers) of the school give a tough competition to each other. The event commenced with lamp lighting by the chief guest followed by a melodious welcome song by the school choir. Best House of The Year trophy was bagged by Shraddha House and Best Student of The Year was bagged by Khushboo Ahuja and Himanshi Jain from classes VI-VIII and IX-X respectively. No less was the Best Student of the House category as Chavi Jain of X-A was felicitated from Sankalp House, Mandira jain of X-B from Tapasya House, Navya Seth of X-A from Samarpan House, Inesha Aggarwal of X-B from Shraddha House, Himanshi jain of X-B from Vishwas House and Shreshth Bansal of X-B from Upasana House. Kudos to all the proud winners.


Aadharshila Vidyapeeth solely aims at fostering all round development of its pupils by encouraging healthy competition to bring out their latent potential. Keeping the same in mind, the school hosted Inter club Board Presentation Competition on 8.02.14 wherein all the clubs of the school namely Lit. Worms, Srijan, Convergence, Catalyst, Social Avenues and Creation vied strongly and decorated the soft boards colorfully on different themes leaving everybody�s eyeballs popping out. I, II and III prize was bagged by Catalyst Club, Convergence Club and Lit. Worms Club respectively. The winner clubs were felicitated and applauded by one and all.


Apart from setting benchmarks at academic front, Aadharshila Vidyapeeth truly believes in fostering all round development of its sporty pupils. Upholding the spirit of adventure and healthy competition amongst the agile and sprightly students, Aadharshila Vidyapeeth celebrated Annual Sports Day in its school premises at different levels for classes pre-primary to tenth on 7, 8 & 10 February 2014. The event commemorated with releasing of balloons by the school Principal. The event witnessed a gamut of interesting & competitive activities like sack race, flat race, frog race, lemon �n� spoon race, long jump and many more enthralling races for junior & senior students of the school. There was a huge participation in the event. The dynamic students performed incredibly well and bagged innumerable golden, silver and bronze medals to their credit. The school ground echoed with applauds as the audience cheered for the participants. The activity gave the students a well deserved break and rejuvenated them. The school Principal felicitated the winners and proposed a vote of thanks to everybody.


Aadharshila Vidyapeeth bade a resplendent farewell to its outgoing batch of class XII (2013-14) on 25 January 2014. The event was conducted in the school auditorium. The gala event incepted with conferring of mementos and titles on the students. The profound beauty of the entire event lay in the sheer diligence and co-ordination displayed by the host i.e student of class XI. The highlights were RetroDance , Comic Skit , Mimicry and Ramp Walk. A dance performance by the students of class XII was the show stealer. The outgoing students looked charismatic in the vibrant attires and cheerful smiles. Students recounted their journey and expressed their gratitude towards their alma mater in shaping their future in the form of emphatic and heart warming speeches. The school Principal inspired the students with his enlightening words and advised all not to follow where the path may lead, but to go where there is no path and leave a trail . This day would come , we knew , your dreams , you must pursue. We couldn�t be prouder, of you. We wish you success in all you do.


Aadharshila Vidyapeeth celebrated 65th Republic Day in its school premises on 24 January 2014 with profound gusto, zeal and splendor. The school was embellished with colorful balloons, flowers and flags. The event commemorated with unfurling of the tricolor, followed by an assortment of spell binding events like patriotic dance performance, poetry recitation, emphatic speeches and much more, which infused each heart and kindled everybody�s spirit with boundless feeling of patriotism. The event culminated with a vote of thanks by the school Principal and an accented speech making everybody realize their duties towards the nation.


Social Avenue Club of Aadharshila Vidyapeeth celebrated 66th Army Day on 15 January 2014 in its school premises. A special assembly was conducted wherein a special focus was laid on the role of the Indian Army in nation building and the commitment and bravery displayed by them so far .Members of the club recalled the bravery and sacrifice of the martials through effective speeches . The proud Aadharshilians seemed determined towards the cause of nation building and providing selfless services .


Apart from imparting skills which helps a student shine academically , Aadharshila Vidyapeeth endeavours to instill in every student core values , instrumental in carving out better and accomplished future citizens of the country . Upholding the vision , the school held a pious hawan in its premises and invoked the blessings of the almighty for the outgoing batch of Class XII and as a mark of warm and prosperous new year ahead. The hawans were held on 20.01.14 and 21.01.14 for classes VI to XII and II to V respectively . The hawan ceremony incepted with the chanting of soothing Gayatri Mantra , followed by offerings made by students in the holy fire.


Catalyst Club of Aadharshila Vidyapeeth conducted a �Special Assembly� on 27 January 2014, on the theme �New Year�s Resolutions�. Members of the Catalyst Club of the school participated enthusiastically and recited mellifluous poems on New Year�s Resolution and acquainted everybody with significance of the date 27 January in the past year.


As the name �M�lange� unfolded itself, Aadharshila Vidyapeeth, Pitampura witnessed a confluence of immense talent in all the realms in the Third Edition of the Annual Inter School Fest, �M�lange � 2013-14�, organized by the school in its premises on December 20 and 21, 2013. The grand event interspersed on two days, with plethora of competitions namely Krishna � Theme Dance, Contradictions � English Debate, Gulgule � Hasya Kavita, Craft Calling, Brain Brawl (Math Quiz), Smart Gen (Jr. & Sr.), Singathon (Folk Song), Poetic Justice (Recitation), Naya Daur (Nukkad Natak), Mosaic (Origamy) and Q-Genie (Science Quiz). Appreciated with an overwhelming response from more than 20 schools and around 500 students, the fest was a huge success. Moments of elation and pride were beheld in the Prize distribution ceremony, reverberating with applause and delight. Aadharshila proved to be a gracious host on all counts.


Aadharshila Vidyapeeth celebrated its Annual Days- �Navrang� and �Kaayde Ki Baat� on Fri. 25.10.2013 and Sat. 26.10.2013 in the school auditorium. �Navrang� was presented by the students of classes III & IV and the chief guest of the show was Mr Ravindra Bansal, MLA , Shalimar Bagh constituency. The chief guest praised the talent of the students & the efforts of the teachers. The message of the show towards empowering the girl child was also applauded. �Kaayde Ki Baat� was a show by the students of classes V-XII. The show had an Invocation Dance by the students of classes V & VI. The show had a one and a half hour theatrical presentation by the same name. The chief guest of the show Mr. Ram Narayan Dubey, mayor East Delhi, praised the show and expressed his faith in the capabilities of the young generation. Both the shows were heartily appreciated by the parent community.


Aadharshila Vidyapeeth celebrated its two Annual Cultural shows- Anugoonj-2013 and Pratibimb-2013 on 11 and 12 Oct. 2013 respectively. The Chief Guests of the shows were Mr. Azad Singh, Mayor, North Delhi Municipal Corporation and Ms. Sarita Choudhary, Mayor, South Delhi Municipal Corporation respectively. The students of classes Pre-Primary, Class I and Class II prepared a plethora of performances that mesmerized the guests and parents alike. Some of the presentations on Day-I were Krishna-Leela, a showcase of Cinematic Heritage , a patriotic item Vatan-E-Hind, a skit Chota Bheem and Hriday Setu- Joy of Giving. Day-2 bedazzled with Ganpati Stuti, Festa-De-Fantasia-Carnival, Birbals� Witty tale Skit, Zubaan-a musical skit, theme dance-Sporty zeal-Pin to win and Daitya Sangharini Maa Kaali dance. The highlight of the Day-2 show was the item Hippy- Hippy Shake with Aliens which had the prop. of spaceship that left the entire audience spell bound. The Chief Guests praised the efforts of the teachers and the school towards inculcating sensitivity and a striving for success among the new generation. The two shows truly encapsulated the spirit of Aadharshila Vidyapeth i.e. to prepare productive and honorable citizens of India.


On the eve of the sparkling celebration of Diwali, Aadharshila Vidyapeeth organized �Interhouse Rangoli Making Competition� for classes III-XII on 31 October 2013 and 2 November 2013 under three categories. Armed with rangoli colours, all the participants spent hours drawing patterns of varied designs and colours. Judges appreciated the artistic skills of students. Shraddha house, Tapasya house and Vishwas house bagged Ist, IInd and IIIrd position in senior category. In intermediate category Upasana and Sankalp house got Ist, Samarpan house got IInd and Shraddha house got IIIrd position and in junior category, Vishwas house, Shraddha house and Upasana house bagged Ist, IInd and IIIrd position respectively.


Gandhi Janyanti was celebrated in school on 1st October 2013 to pay tribute to the father of the Nation. The school also observed this day to appreciate his efforts for the Nation. A special assembly was held to celebrate this occasion. Students expressed their thoughtful views for appreciating his service to our Nation. The school also celebrated his preachings of non-violence, discipline, simplicity and so on by observing discipline in the school premises and the students were asked to imbibe these virtues in their lives.


Dedicating an entire week to Mathematics, Aadharshila Vidyapeeth, Pitam pura, organized Maths week from 23-28 September, 2013. Exploring the intricate recesses of mathematics, the week brimmed with extrapolation, association & application of maths in real life. Special presentations on great mathematicians like Aryabhatta & Ramanujan, co-relation of maths & other branches of studies and amazing mathematical facts engrossed one and all. Brain teasing sessions such as Math quiz, MAT and Matchsticks Squares were liked by children. Learning with dexterity, Upasana and Sankalp house won I prize in the Inter-House Maths Quiz (VI-VIII) and Inter-House PowerPoint Presentation (IX-X) respectively. The week long celebration culminated with a vivid display of modals & games in the Maths Exhibition- �Math Expo-2013� on the last two days. Some of the displays were �Infinite image producing mirrors�, �smooth traffic flow without red lights & man-power� and �Geo-Boards & formulas�. Parents appreciated the ceaseless efforts of students & schools� Math Dept.


Breaking the shackles of monotony, school earnestly endeavors to blend academics with fun and frolic and making children believe that studies are not something to fret about. In this regards, school recently organized a special assembly with the theme �Learning can be Fun� for classes II-V on 3 September, 2013. Some of the highlights of the assembly were-Poem recitation and speeches by students for sharing the study secrets & tips, a stress bursting short skit and teachers� address addressing students� learning myths. Assembly spoke volumes about �learning while having fun�.


Saluting the noble profession of teaching and paying an ode to the respectable teaching community, school celebrates Teachers� Day on 4 and 5 September, 2013. Special Assembly of classes II-V, showcasing recitation of English and Hindi poems dedicated to teachers and enactment of the unconditional and selfless love of teachers in the form of a short skit, was organized on 4 September. The onset of 5 September 2013 saw a heartwarming welcome of all the teachers with flowers and best wishes cards by school Head Boy and Head Girl. With the gamut of fun activities viz teachers� mimicry, dance performances, English and Hindi songs, rapid fire games and title giving ceremony, students of classes III-XII made 5 September, worth remembering for teachers with a special function in two phases. Members from school management, correspondents from Hindustan Times and Times of India and School Principal appreciated the commendable efforts of the students. ��It is a student who makes a teacher popular and successful��, quoted the school Principal in his speech. Function followed by presents to staff members and lavish staff lunch organized by the school authorities.


To harness the latent talent of students, school organized an Inter House Mono Acting competition for classes III-V on 17 August 2013. Showcasing immensely good performances, different houses brought forth comic acts and serious social problems like �Corruption� and �wastage of water�. This educative and entertaining event was lauded by one and all. School Principal felicitated the winners and praised the efforts of all the budding artists.


Throbbing with patriotism, school celebrated the 67th Independence Day with lots of zeal and enthusiasm. Celebration began with a special function for classes III-V on 8 August 2013 which included motivational speeches by students, play on �Freedom Struggle�, English song �We Shall Overcome� and a captivating dance performance. The budding singers of classes III-V and VI-X paid a heart rending tribute to motherland �India� in the inter house Patriotic Song Competition held on 12 and 13 August 2013 respectively. Saluting the sacrifices of various freedom fighters classes II-V presented a special assembly on 13 August 2013 in the form of poems and slogans recitation and a short skit highlighting Indians� plight during British rule. Celebration culminated with a special event on 14 August 2013 for classes VI-XII wherein belief in the power of youth was reiterated in the Head Boy�s and Head Girl�s speech, school choir enthralled everyone with the ever inspiring patriotic song �Aazadi Ka Din Ye Aaya� followed by a well choreographed dance number on �Women Power�. Chief Guest of the function Mr. Chandi Ram Chawla, Counselor MCD, Pitampura and school Director motivated children to become responsible future leaders in their speech.


It being the rainy season, school organized special assemblies educating children about causes of and prevention from �Dengue� on 5 & 6 August 2013. Disseminating awareness in all, students and science teachers presented thoughts, poems, speeches and paper presentation on �Dengue�. Highlighting the callousness of people towards their surroundings, class IV presented a skit. In all, the assemblies proposed the idea, �Prevention is better than cure�.

Junior Athletic Meet 2013

School organized Junior Athletic Meet 2013 on 5th and 6th August 2013, of classes Pre-Primary and I. Beginning with synchronized March past and oath taking ceremony, the event was declared open after �Mashaal Lighting� by the school Principal. Races like flat race, obstacle race, catching the last bus, clean up city, mask race, gypsy race and garland race saw massive participation of students. More than 500 students participated in the meet. School principal awarded winners with medals, certificates and gifts.


Aadharshila Vidyapeeth, Pitam pura organized a Table Tennis practice camp from 25-29 July, 2013 with a lot of zeal. School Chairman Dr. Vipin Gupta and National level standing graced the opening ceremony in a special assembly which began with the rendition of �Welcome Song�, followed by bouquet presentation by the school Head Boy and Head Girl. In his address, the school Principal encouraged children to be agile and more sporty in their day to day lives. One of the dignitary tennis players, Common Wealth Games winner, Ms. Madhurika Patkar , praised the school infrastructure and school�s endeavours to promote sports as a career, in her interaction with kids. Students grabbed the opportunity to get their favourite players� autographs. The school felt honoured to have been a host for the practice camp of TT players of international repute.


The school organized a Movie Show �Life of Pi� in association with �The Times of India� (NIE) on 29 July 2013 for classes VI-X at Samrat Theatre, Shakurpur. It was an inspiring movie for the students. The hardships faced by protagonist, a young boy of 15, made the students realize that the hardships and challenges of life should be faced with courage and a positive attitude. The show got a remarkable response by the students.


Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure �Science�. - Edwin Powell Hubble, The Nature of Science, 1954. In its endeavor to harness students� potential to the utmost and provide them hands on awareness of science and environment issues, school organized EVS/Science Week from 22 July to 27 July 2013. The array of events is as follows: Day 1: An informative Scientific Paper Presentation on �Higgs Boson-the God Particle� enhanced everyone�s understanding and learning of this new concept in the special morning assembly. In classrooms young minds of classes III-V wrote creative and inspiring slogans on the theme �Environment� and scientific commercials with props were presented by students of classes II. Day 2: Children of classes II-V celebrated bravery and endurance of freedom fighters through poems & role play in special assembly. Students of catalyst club demonstrated �Making of First Aid Kit�, �its usage� and �Brochures on safety Measures� in all sections of classes VI-X. Class II designed innovative posters on �Environment�. Day 3: �Save Environment� was the thematic concern of the special assembly of classes II-V. For class II, Collage making on the topic �Pollution� was organized whereas classes VI-X participated in Science Aptitude Test (SAT) enthusiastically. Day4: A talk show was organized on the theme �Black Hole�. On the same day and Inter House Science Symposium was also organized for classes VI-X wherein Power Point Presentation and video Interactions were made on the topics (a) Green Energy- Boon or Bane (b) Mars- Substitute for Earth (c) Emerging Scientific Equipments. Day 5: On the last day a science exhibition �We � Gyaan 2013-14�was organized in the school auditorium which was visited by parents and students of all classes and got an overwhelming response. Some of the exceptional exhibits were on �Bt Cotton�, �Medicinal Plants�, �Robotics� and �Fun with chemistry�. The science week holds a lot of meaning for science department. Everyone worked incessantly towards make this mega event possible and look forward for new ideas and vigour for next year�s science week.


Blending academics with fun �n� frolic, Aadharshila Vidyapeeth, Pitampura organized a rejuvenating �Monsoon Carnival� for classes Pre-Primary to II on 20 July, 2013, amidst the real rain showers. Students, welcomed by teachers and their favourite cartoons, blossomed in their pretty attires. Activities like aerobics, balloon shooting, caterpillar ride, ball pool, jumping castle and the name bead bracelets making enthralled kids throughout the day. Movie show in the school auditorium, rain dance and magic show were the show stealers as the tiny tots has a gala time in these attractions. Little ones were served sumptuous breakfast, snacks, lunch and relishing desserts. Also, the toddlers were elated to receive gift packs from the school. A fruitful and joyous event it was!


Igniting in students the concern for environment and realization of the need and significance of sustainable development. Aadharshila Vidyapeeth, Pitampura celebrated Eco and Van Mahotsav Week from 16-18 July, 2013. Celebration began with the tiny crusaders of class II-V propagating the message of �Save Earth� in a special assembly. They asserted their views through speeches, English and Hindi poems and slogans. School�s Catalyst Club members of classes VI-X , smartly adorned in green T-Shirts and carrying banners and posters, marched with vigour and enthusiasm took out a rally in the vicinity of the school, sensitizing citizens towards the green cause. Also, a tree plantation drive began with school Principal planting sapling in the school campus. Social Avenues Club of the school conducted an assembly explaining the concept and need of sustainable development. Celebration culminated with Class IV skit presentation highlighting the indiscriminate use of electricity and other resources by man. The week proved to be an eye-opener advising children to save energy.

Aadharshila Vidyapeeth, Pitampura organized an enthralling trip to Kullu and Manali for the students of classes V-X from 20 to 25 May 2013. Children had a thrilling in the AC buses seeing the scenic beauty of the hills, stepping into the lap of nature. Children were mesmerized to see and step into the knee deep snow at Rohtang Pass and Solang Valley. Some of the other places visited were Hadimba temple, Vashishth temple and Van Vihar. Children shopped for knick-knacks at the Mall Road and for quaint little souvenirs at Kullu. They also visited the shawl factory at Bhunter. The trip was fun all the way: enjoying the food, the dance, the party and the bonfire. Students returned with cherished memories.


Invoking the Almighty governing our world, Aadharshila Vidyapeeth , Pitampura organized Hawan ceremonies for classes VI – XII on 2 July 2013 and for classes II – V on 4 July 2013 in the school assemblies. More than 400 students participated on each day. Holy offerings were made by the school Principal , teachers and students in the ‘Hawan Kund’ praying for a successful session and examinations ahead. Mantras and Lord’s prayers echoed in the whole school bestowing it with purity and sanctity. Sprinkled with holy water children received ‘Parsad’ and were spiritually invigorated.
