| Contribution to Disasters and Red Cross Society |

Mother Nature has not always been caring and
nourishing. History has recorded several moments when she has
unleashed tremendous pain and destruction in the form of earthquakes,
floods, volcanoes, droughts etc., One such disaster
"Tsunami" occurred on 26.12.2004 which swept
ashore in 12 countries killing more than 2,00,000 people. Many
organizations like Help Age India with the help of school students
raised funds for the rehabilitation and well being of Tsunami
victims and our school did no less to serve this noble cause.
It stood together as a single unit and contributed generously.
All the students, teachers, parents, staff members joined their
hands together to give as much as monetary help as possible.
The students even volunteered their toys and clothes for the
children whose lives had been wracked by Tsunami.
The students also contributed towards Red Cross Society.
The booklets of the society were distributed among the children
of Class IV and thus onwards. The students participated actively
and contributed generously. |

| Toy bank project |
| A Toy Bank, housing
toys for the children who are deprived of the very basis
right of having a hassle-free joy life has taken off from
the School. Toys which are old or discarded by various
homes and people are collected by the Toy Bank through
various Collection Centres spread across the city and
also through mobile collection van that covers various
colonies of the city. The collected toys are then restored
and issued to children, much like books in a library.
In short, the mission statement of the Toy Bank is ‘Recycling
toys- Recycling Smiles. |

| Lending helping hand
to a village |
 |
The School has made an extra
effort to lend a helping hand for the development of a
small village ‘Jharoth’ which
is situated in district Sonepat, 55kms away from Delhi.
The teachers and the students visit the village on a regular
basis and interact with the villagers. They exchange their
feelings, emotions, thoughts regarding each and every
aspects of life. The cultural differences between urban
& rural life is also discussed. These discussions
helps the teachers and students of the village to understand
both the advantages as well as the disadvantages of a
city life and vice-versa. |
