Children’s faces are comparable with an oasis suddenly found in a desert. They quench our thirst with their loving smiles, soothing words and innocent queries. On the eve of Children’s Day,i.e. 13 November 2019, Wednesday a Special Assembly was held for classes VI-XII in Aadharshila Vidyapeeth to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehruji, the former P.M a persona who loved kids, and gave them unparalleled love.
The programme presented on stage comprised of a speech given by a student. The journey of childhood was depicted through a dance presentation on stage. A skit was presented which quintessentially portrayed gender bias and discrimination against a poor girl child, who is denied the basic right to be educated. A poem on childhood and fantasies of a young child was recited.
Even the teacher speaker asked the teachers to take a flashback of their childhood days. The charms of childhood are exclusive to a human being and these are our lifelong memories.
